Woodpeckers in Wales is permanently closed. (If that is wrong you can suggest an edit)
Woodpeckers in Wales is a family orientated, non-profit making club, run and maintained by its members.
The mature grounds are set in five acres of rural wooded countryside between Cardiff and Swansea, but only ten minutes drive from the M4 motorway.
The nearest village is only a short drive away with plenty of shops and supermarkets.
Nearby, country pubs serving good food and fine ales.
Relax on the extensive sunbathing lawns, or for the more energetic, there are boules courts, a shuffleboard court and a covered, solar heated swimming pool, with seating area, where parents can oversee their children having fun.
Meander naked along the peaceful woodland walks and look for the abundant wildlife. You will find many species of birds along with rabbits, pheasants and squirrels.
The newly refurbished clubhouse hosts regular functions, including fancy dress, quiz nights, bingo, dancing and karaoke throughout the year and has a TV and free pool table.
Day visitors can change in the site caravan and also have use of fridges and microwaves for your own food and the obligatory kettle to make tea/coffee.
There are hot showers located within a separate toilet block and a hair dryer if needed. There is a portable toilet disposal facility for GREEN chemicals only.
The club is open to visitors from the first weekend in April to the last weekend of October.
