1. Schedule a time.

Just as you would plan your day to make it to a studio class at a specific time, adding your at-home yoga practice to your calendar will help you commit to it, which is especially helpful if you are just starting out and haven’t yet developed a regular exercise routine. 

2. Set the mood.

Roll out your yoga mat in a particular area of your home that will allow you to be free from distractions (even if just for 20 minutes!), light candles or incense, and play some relaxing music. Setting the tone for your practice will help designate this as a special time apart from the rest of your day.
