Clothing will be optional at the outdoor pool for one night only
Nude swimmers are being invited to Peterborough’s famous lido this weekend to join an event with the British Naturism organisation.
Just an hours drive or train ride from Leicester, the outdoor pool says clothing is optional this Saturday evening.
On June 12 from 7.30pm until 10pm, naked swimmers can take a dip for the first time since the pandemic, which could provide a much-needed sense of liberation after lockdown.
Swimming in the buff is said to boost self-confidence, body image and mental health, according the British Naturism group.
The first naked event took place in 2019 but had to be cancelled the following year as the coronavirus pandemic took hold.
