A naked rambler out for a stroll on the coastal path near Sidmouth prompted a call to police.
The nude walker – said to be sporting only a hat and bag – was spotted along the scenic public footpath, close to Salcombe Regis, on Tuesday afternoon (26 May).
Officers say the man was deemed to be a ‘naturist behaving passively’ and no offence had been committed.
A woman out on a run along the stretch of coastline with her husband posted on social media that she had encountered the man-in-the-buff – who told her her his starkers antics were perfectly legal.

She said she later reported the matter to police.
