‘I just took my clothes off to wash myself’ the nudist explained to one confused passerby
People out for their daily lockdown walk through Central London were given an almighty shock when a naked man strutted along the street next to them, seemingly without a care in the world.
The nudist was seen on his naked amble in the area around the British Museum on Sunday, January 24.
Police were called but couldn’t find the man, who by then had run off.
A slightly bemused witness told MyLondon what she saw.
Catherine, 22, said: “I was out for my daily walk going down Great Russell Street, just off Tottenham Court Road, around 3.45pm when I turned around and noticed a stark naked man walking down the road.
“He was walking quickly towards Bloomsbury Square Gardens and past the British museum completely unphased by the numerous people staring at him.
“Once he got to the gardens he turned round and started walking back on himself.”
