It’s one way to enjoy a North Cornwall beauty spot.
Things got a little nude in Bude after HM Coastguard were called out to reports of a naked man in distress- only to discover he was simply enjoying an early morning swim.
Bude Coastguard Rescue Team received a message at 7:20am this morning (September 21) of a report that a naked male onshore at Northcott Beach was possibly in distress having just emerged from the water.
As the rescue team prepared to leave, they received further information from Falmouth Coastguard Operations centre that the man was safe and well, enjoying an early morning swim.
A spokesperson for Bude Coastguard Rescue Team wrote on Facebook: “Bude Coastguard Rescue Team were paged at 7:20am this morning and tasked to Northcott Beach following the report of a naked male on the shore, possibly in distress having just emerged from the water.
“As the team mustered at the station, further information was received by Falmouth Coastguard Operations Centre that indicated the gentleman in question was simply enjoying a spot of early morning wild swimming and was safe and well.
