Zipolite Nudist Festival encuentronudista2021

“Zipolite Nudist Festival” transforms into “Nudist Encounter” with healthy distance and without massive activities.

Due to pandemic by COVID 19, this 2021, will not be carried out the traditional massive activities of the Zipolite Nudist Festival, held every year from 2016, on the beaches of Zipolite, Oaxaca.

The Oaxaca state is on orange alert, therefore on December 23, 2020, a general assembly was held in Zipolite to analyze the feasibility of having activities during the Nudist Festival dates.

The municipality of San Pedro Pochutla has had 145 cases for COVID 19 since march this year and only have recorded 10 deaths, now there is only one active case per COVID 19, so Zipolite es considered one of the most safe beaches for the arrival of tourism.

The inhabitants of Zipolite rely heavily on the income from the economic spill tourism leaves in town, especially the Festival season and have been greatly affected by the restrictions of Easter, summer and past holiday season.

The Nudist Festival is a consolidated event that takes place every year, in January 2020 attendees were unaware that a global pandemic would be triggered on March,

for this reason, as every year, they left paid and reserved they stance one year in advance.

Facing this situation, in the assemby held between the municipality authorities, municipal agent, Bi Shieeladi A.C.,the festival organizers and the inhabitants of Zipolite, decided that it could be done an alternate version of the Festival, smaller and without massive activities, with an strictly caring for the hygiene protocols, under the name of ENCUENTRO NUDISTA.

The main objective of this event will be to support the hitted local economy and at the same time take care of tourists whom already planned to the festival anyway, constantly remembering the prevention measures throughout their stay and inviting them to enjoy the beach privately, with the less interaction with people outside their inner circle.

This year, only a few activities will be organized on the beach, in small groups, at different scheduled time and participants should be located two meters apart each other, under this format yo can practice yoga on the beach, volleyball matches and body paint workshops with the use of mouth covers and glasses. Nudist dinners will be held only in places that comply with prevention protocols and respecting a maximum quota of 30%.

The traditional official photo will be replaced by a digital version of it where each participant must mail his photo, this photos will be use later to form the phrase:ZIPOLITE 2021

We reiterate that ACTIVITIES SUCH AS CALENDA (parade) WILL NOT BE CARRIED OUT, there will also be NO STAGE, PARTIES, MUSICAL CONCERTS by nights, no even for closing the event. We have asked tourism and travelers that don´t have a hotel reservation or flight ticket to stay home safe and avoid travelling to Zipolite on
festival dates.

Working together with local authorities, there will be supervision to monitor tourists and shops comply with health, protection and prevention measures.

We have also designed a series of digital posters with different hygiene and prevention measures, they are already being distributed throughout our social networks.

As a part of our strategy we have started to promote a new nudist event on September 2021 under the name: ZIPOLIZATE, suggesting it as an option to visit this nudist optional beach once the pandemic has descended to levels allowing a better coexistence.

This event had been announced by September 2020 but had to be cancelled since there were no conditions to carry it out.
