He had only ever been nude in his garden – but loved walking among the flower beds in the buff

A nudist admits he thoroughly enjoyed his first time out in public without his clothes.

Chris Petchley has been a nudist for 10 years but has never before dared to stray from the garden of his home in North Lincolnshire.

However, the 55-year-old decided to take the plunge and headed out with four other nudist friends to Goltho Gardens at Wragby on Sunday morning, August 16, for a walk among the flower beds.

Mr Petchley told Lincolnshire Live:  “I contacted garden before to make sure they would allow us to go.

“The lady who owns it was very, very encouraging so that helped.

“She was very pleasant when we arrived and was very nice.”

The group of four men and one woman, aged between 40 and 60, visited the popular attraction between 10am and 12pm, which is out of hours.

Mr Petchley says their experience was thoroughly enjoyable with no one receiving any negative looks or comments.

““It was bit nerve-wracking, but then again anything new and different makes you a bit nervous. I enjoyed it – it was quite liberating.”
