A Llanelli woman pretended to be a naturist to get alongside a retired businessman and con him out of £50,000, a judge has been told.
Moira Etchells, aged 45, pretended she needed the money to set up a business artificially inseminating cows and trimming horses hooves.
But she simply treated herself to a new £35,000 Land Rover and banked the rest.
Etchells, of John Street, admitted fraud. She was jailed for 18 months, suspended for two years.
Craig Jones, prosecuting, told Swansea Crown Court how businessman Ian Chatting-Tonks retired to Spain after a successful business career in the motor trade.
But his wife died and he searched for a new partner. He was a keen naturist and joined Naturistfriends.com, where he saw a profile posted by Etchells. Continued…Read full original article…
