A very enjoyable 12-mile hike yesterday, woods, fields, open hills, bit of sunshine and comfortable breezes. It started from a lay-by off the A40 with a quick dip into woodland allowing me to strip off almost straight away. Woodland track was followed by a walk along the margin of a wheat field waiting for the harvester; a short cover up to pass through the village of Hazleton, then more open country with no one in it but a wandering naturist!

Plenty  more of the same gave me a good work out, and empty countryside made it possible to spend most of the time naked - one of the upsides of farm work being so mechanised these days, no one out there working the land.
