From St.Ives take the B3306 coast road to Lands End. After about five miles you arrive at the beautiful little village of Zennor. There is a car park just below the Tinners Arms and right next to the Backpackers. It costs £1 to park.

Having left the car, walk up past the pub and turn left. Porthzennor is sign posted. Eventually you will see Porthzennor down below you on the left. Access is by a steep footpath from the South West Coast Path.

Porthzennor Cove is a sandy and rocky beach. North facing but sheltered from the prevailing south-west winds. It is an unofficial naturist beach.

There are no facilities.

There is no restriction on dogs at Porthzennor Cove.

  1. We tried to access this beach on the same day as Veor Cove. Lovely looking sandy beach from up on the cliff on a hot summer’s day in late July.

This time we did find a narrow path just about visible between bushes but extremely steep and slippery. Makes Pednvounder feel a breeze, so not very highly recommended. The beach may be accessible if approached from the next cove to the east, if you don’t mind a longish walk back but the fact that we couldn’t see anyone in either cove, clothed or nude, didn’t leave us very optimistic.
