The interpreter had the messages “No culture or future” and “Give us back art, Jean” written on her body, addressed to the French Prime Minister
The French actress Corinne Masiero starred in the most talked about moment of the César Awards gala this Friday when she undressed on stage. The interpreter, known among other titles for the series ‘Inspector Marleau’ , in which the Spanish Victoria Abril also works , protested against the closure of theaters and cinemas by the French Government during the coronavirus pandemic.
Masiero, 57, took the stage disguised as a donkey to present the award for best costumes. At one point, however, she began to remove her outfit, until she was completely naked. The spectators could see that he had the message “Without culture or future” written on his chest . On the back it read “Give us back the art, Jean,” addressed to Prime Minister Jean Castex .
The César Awards are the equivalent of the Goya in Spain, both with the Oscars as a distant reference, and are usually the most important festival of the year for French cinema. In this edition, due to the Covid, there was no red carpet, glamor or hugs .
The ceremony took place in the Olympia hall in the midst of a rarefied environment in the cultural sector due to the lack of measures to set a date for the reopening of museums, galleries, concert halls and cinemas.
